Take that walk

She sucked at trying not to be sober because she didn’t want anyone to know she was hurting. Her fear of people talking her out of it prevented her from speaking up. She always looked beautiful; each day better than the previous that it even became very suspicious.

Truth is, no matter how much she tried to cover up the bruises and black eyes, the more visible they became. She was running out of Mary Kay and she was also losing her make up skills.

You know what she needed so badly?… She needed a walk; not a walk to the bathroom or to do the laundry in order not to face the reality. She needed to walk away from the bruises, heart aches, black eyes and a list of other packages that came along.

Her legs were heavy with fear of what would befall her if she called it quit, forgetting that she was dying inside slowly.

Caged by the one person she claimed to love so much. One thing she failed to realize was that sooner or later there was going to be nothing left of her heart and she was being reluctant to protect the little portion she had left.

“Fake it till you make it ” doesn’t apply here my love. Take that walk before it becomes a race.
